The incident took place just after midnight on Saturday, Feb. 1, on Church Hill Road, said the Newtown Police.
The department, who said the 911 caller reported that their house had "fallen down," quickly arrived on the scene and found that the home had been struck by a Ford F-350 driven by Andrew Anglace, of Newtown, police said.
According to police, Anglace was traveling west on Church Hill Road when he lost control and struck the home.
The truck drove through the northwest corner of the home, destroying both exterior walls, continued west striking and destroying a stone and concrete wall and impacting the homeowner's vehicle before finally coming to rest in the driveway, Newtown Police said.
Following an investigation, Anglace was charged with DWI, reckless operation, driving too fast for conditions, and failure to drive in the proper lane.
Anglace was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.
The vehicle occupants and the residents of the home were uninjured.
The Red Cross was contacted to provide aid to the resident.
